Restore and redevelop a stunningly beautiful historical building that was designed by famed architect Joseph Royer in 1928, following the chateauesque French Norman style. The building has been used as a sorority at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign until 2010. It has unfortunately been vacant since then and was in a state of disrepair.
Preserve an endangered local landmark and provide a unique housing experience just one block away from UIUC campus. Encourage sustainable development and environmental consciousness.
We have acquired the property in August 2017. The City of Urbana has subsequently approved our plans for a complete rehab and redevelopment into 19 quality apartments for rent, including studios and 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. Construction started early January 2018 and ended in August 2018. Currently 42 people live there in 19 units ranging from studios to large 3-bedroom apartments.
